We may change these Terms by updating this page at any time and it is your responsibility to check you are still willing to be bound by them.

If STFC processes any personal information, we do this in-line with current data protection legislation outlined in our privacy notice.

This website is for information purposes only. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all content is accurate and current. However, we cannot accept liability for any losses or damages which may arise from using or relying on information on this website.
We believe the research we support is of high quality and we support peer review of all research outputs generated by grant holders. However, we are not liable in relation to any conclusions that might be drawn or actions that might be taken on the basis of research we fund, including preliminary findings of research that might be altered during peer review.
Acceptable use

DAFNI and Data Protection
At STFC (being a Council under, and part of, United Kingdom Research and Innovation), we intend to make sure that we maintain the UK as a world-leader in science and technology research – integral to this is our commitment to protecting and safeguarding your data privacy.
It is part of STFC’s public purpose to provide services such as DAFNI. In order to effectively provide that service to you, we need to collect information about you and may need to contact you from time to time with regards to its provision.
STFC considers it in the legitimate interest of anyone who has signed up to access the DAFNI service that it should be able to effectively and efficiently manage the service for their benefit.
